Apple Badge
« on: June 05, 2012, 06:25:49 pm »
It seems that using Chrome on a mobile phone kicks the Apple badge in ... as Google Chrome will have safari in the user agent string regardless of OS...

At least that is what one of my users is reporting.

If the user agent contains any of the following will mark them as an apple user.
iPad
iPhone
Macintosh
Mac OS X

Thanks...

I also have another user TRYING to get a mobile badge... keeps reporting different OSes and what not he's tried... but no such luck.  What does the mobile badge look for?

Thanks again...

Right now it looks to see if SMF's wireless detection is set or if it is iPhone.

Next update for 1.0.7 adding checking for the phone
Blackberry
Android
Sprint
Vodaphone
Nokia

I've actually got two users that can't get the mobile badge, too - one's got an Android and the other's got a BlackBerry Apollo. Any tips?

Have them visit http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
And post back what their user agent is.
