Remembering Listings Edits?
« on: August 05, 2012, 05:01:28 am »
Is it possible for Admins to be able to see any edits that are done to a post?  This would be good for catching out any troublesome sellers.

Similar idea to the 'Post History' mod.... http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1841

Edit:-  Is it also possible for the Terms of Use to have a button, perhaps next to 'My Listings'?  Otherwise users can only see it before they bid.  And also an FAQ button?  Maybe make these a 'checkable' item in the package manager, as I don't know if everyone would like these. ;D

2nd Edit:-  Hope you don't mind my edits!   ;D

I've just had a PM when an auction ended, and it says "Your listing has called \"Test\" has expired and has been removed."  This should read "Your listing called \"Test\" has expired and has been removed."  Also, I don't know if you can get rid of the slashes?

Finally, the test auctions moved successfully to the Recycle Bin, so thank you for that.  :)

Thanks again.

Possibly as it is right now listings/auctions can't be edited by the poster once a bid is made.

I can probably do some kind of paging system where you can define your own custom tabs/pages etc.

Just posted an update to fix this.

Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up.

That would be excellent.

Thanks again for the speedy reply. :)

Another bug:-  I have a category for Wants, that doesn't use any prices, and you can't see any on the listing or on the Recent Listings.  But, when you look at the Recent Listings and select 'List All', then the Wanted listings show $0.00.  This is confusing for users for showing a value, but it's also confusing for using the $, when everything else is £'s anyway!

Excellent, thanks!

Another suggestion (sorry!!!  :D) -  Are you able to include a 'Report to Moderator' for the comments?  I'm using the listings as the main place to talk about the items, and not the forum topics it creates (they're locked).

Also, can the people getting comments be notified that there are more comments that have been replied to?

Yeah I can build that as well would just be another area in the classifieds area for mods to check reported comments

Suggestion:  When posts are waiting for approval, the member that submitted the listing see's

An error has occurred!
Your listing requires approval.  Once approved....

Can the top line be changed to 'Awaiting Approval' or something like that?  Saying that there is an error has confused some of my members into thinking they've done something wrong. ;D

Is it possible to change it in SMF core? Something anodine like "Wait a minute..." I'd now what it was when it popped up elsewhere and it wouldn't alarm or confuse my customers.

Yes it is. It would be in one of the files in the themes/default/languages folder.
