Badge count not showing up in posts?

I've got the "show in posts" and "show total badges in posts" boxes checked, not sure why nobody can see anything. Any tips? Any info I could give that would help work out why this feature isn't working?

Are you using a custom theme?

Ah, I just realised I am! Set to the default theme and it's all sorted. Thanks.

Thanks, but it's probably not overly necessary for now. All the users seem quite happy to stick with the regular theme.
