Links Mod Problem

I just installed the Links Mod but am having a problem with it.  It all seemed to install okay.  When the install finished, it took me to the Links Configuration area.  After I selected my options and pressed the "Save" button, I got the following message:

"Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again. "

I tried logging out then back in again but got the same rresults.

Second question, how does one access the Links?  Is it supposed to create a button or something?  If so, it did not.

Can anyone help, please?

Are you using the latest SMF Links version from the SMF mod site?
If so what SMF version?

As far as I know. I just downloaded it about 30 minutes ago from the SMF mods site.  Version 3.0.1
