show number of total images in gallery

Hey, I want to show the total number of images in my gallery in the default stats box of TP.
Well I found out that can be done by editing the TPortalBlocks.template.php....

But.... the problem is I dont know the string function whatever its called for the total images in the gallery.

Someone PLEASE help me.

You can make a phpbox and put the following in it and it will show what you want and more:

ssi_gallerystats($output_method = 'echo');

It shows:

Total Pictures xxx
Total Views xxxx
Total Gallery Filesize xxx.xx kb
Total Comments xxx

are you sure it isnt possible to just show the total images? my users are probably not interested in the total file size of the folder.
