Custom currency

None of the currencies listed is suitable for me - is there away to use a custom currency?

Maybe but paypal will not support that currency you would need to process that transaction manually.

I understand yes.
Thats not a problem however as I will not use Paypal for payment transactions as they will happen using EFT (In South Africa Paypal is problematic to use as it's seen as a foreign exchange service so I cant easily accept payment from my target vendors anyway using it)

What I need is for the price to display in the correct currency (ZAR) in the Advertising Package

Ideally I would also like to replace or remove the Buy Now button
I can add contact information in the Description if necesarry

Even though we do have https://www.paypal.com/za/ it's pretty useless to South Africans \

The reason why this is not supported is supposedly something to do with South African exchange controls, although I personally think it's totally ridicilous that Paypal has already been in South Africa for 3 years and this problem still exists.
 
The bank that partnered with Paypal issued a comprehensive FAQ with regards to the Paypal service in South Africa:
 
"4. Why can I only Top Up with US dollars? PayPal offers the ability to send funds and make payments in many currencies.  At this stage South African Rand (ZAR) is not a PayPal currency so as an interim solution the FNB ‘Top Up’ service with PayPal will only facilitate the conversion of the funds from South African rand into US dollars.  The US Dollars in your PayPal account can used to make purchases in any PayPal currency, with PayPal merchants worldwide."
 
Not sure why they cant fix this issue - there are many local equivalents such as www.payfast.co.za or www.paygenius.co.za
Anyway not your problem.


If I can just get the currency to display correctly it would be a good start.
