2 questions about Downloads:

1: I am using Downloads 2.1a. What would I need to do to upgrade. Uninstall/Reinstall? Or just install over?

My stuff is backed up, but my coding is limited so I'm not sure how to restore it if I needed to. ;D

2: I am using Cloud based storage for my downloads. I have several different categories- and several different folders in the cloud. If a user uploads a file, can I get it to go to the correct folder (depending on category)? Or will it all go into one mass folder?

You can install over but I always suggest for major versions to uninstall when possible then install the new version.

Shouldn't really impact anything unless you have modified the code in that case I would do a backup of your forum before of your files/database.
And if you merging code to use a tool such as beyond compare to find the differences merge changes.

I'm using the stock setup. I have made my own categories and such, but I haven't gone into the files or anything.

What about my other question? Do all the files go into one big folder, or can I make it go to the category's folder in the cloud?

Ok then you are safe to install the upgrade as is.

All files currently go into one folder.

OK, I bought the pro version. I installed over because I wasn't sure about losing anything if I uninstalled. The original files were unmodified before the install. Everything seems to work w/o issue, but I have 2 download buttons. I have your download image, and I have "download" across the top from the original setup. I should say this "download" (text) only appeared after I put the file at another url. I'll explain. When downloads were stored at the site you'd see:
Download title.zip

Now that my files are at another place you see "Download" instead. This is in addition to the download button.

Also, I tried to register my license and when I agreed I got a "fatal error" message. When I reloaded the page it said that license had already been used. So I'm guessing it installed ok, and tried to reinstall when I reloaded the page.

So other than the license and 2 buttons, so far so good. ;D
