Searching MOD to remove e-mail requirement from registration.

I want my users to only need a username and password.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

it would be really really really helpful.

Also where can I disable e-mail for users system wide?  so that the e-mail icon doesnt appear below the username?

I set a bounty of 100$ for anybody who can solve these problems for me .
