Tagging system - permission error

Hi, Today I found that any user can add a tag to topic or during reply... However only admin have such permission in "groups".

I have deleted (uninstalled) tagging system, install it again - no changes, anyone can add tags!

Where can the trouble be found??

Does it actually add a tag or just shows the form?

Yes, unfortunately it adds a tag!

btw, luckily user can not remove tags, so he have no tag admin permission at least

What SMF version? Double check all membergroups and post groups in case as well.

All user groups have no any tag permission (except admin, admin have all permission as we know).

Strange since this code in the AddTag and AddTagg2 functions would make it imposssible to run...

Are the membergroups inherting any permissions or are they using unique permisisons?

There are some groups with inhering permissions (groups based on posts count) and some unique, both of them have possibility to add a tag

That is probably causing an issue somehow I do not yet have a good grasp on how the inherited permissions work in SMF 2.0.x yet

Do you think it's safe to use tagging system with this issue?...

Safe yes but could lead to users putting tags on topics you do not want...

I will remove unwanted tags manually,
but hope you'll have some time to look into it someday

How can I remove "tags" field under "subject" on reply and new topic?..
There must be something to comment in code, I guess..
Actually, I need only bottom link under topic - add tag, it's  visible to admin only.
