Sorry if this has been covered, didn't find any info on the issue.

When trying to access any of the albums or category's in my install the following error page comes up.

An Error Has Occurred!
The category doesn't exist.

The only error showing in the forum error log is this:

Did you convert from another gallery system? If not did you change anything recently.

For the second version download the latest gallery update fixes that issue.

No changes on the gallery system, but I just updated to SMF 2.0.7.

My gallery version is 5.0.4

Just tried an uninstall on the gallery so that a fresh/current copy could be installed and got lots of errors.

An image will come up, but a category will not and gives the error message.

Really strange did you install any mods recently?
I am not seeing this code text anywhere inside my gallery system "The category doesn't exist."


Also currently there are no checks to see if a category exists or not.

It seems like a mod or something has taken over control over the ;cat= variable passed in the url
Example: http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/index.php?topic=3099;cat=356345  that's not part of the gallery

My site was off line for all of 2013 and just brought back online a couple of weeks ago.

When starting it up again with the current (at that time) SMF and the db was loaded with the last saved file from December 2012 and then TinyPortal and SMF Gallery 5.0.4 were installed. A couple of small Mods were also installed, Childboards as Dropdown and Simple Youtube Video Embedder/BBC.

Then today I updated SMF to 2.0.7 and updated TP (to 1.108) as well because of some minor conflicts between the new SMF and to old TP.

Before this latest issue came up the gallery seemed to work OK.

It's one of those mods I would think it would be Childboards as Dropdown
But could be TP as well not sure if they override the cat variable.

It's TinyPortal.
I've been uninstalling the Mods one at a time and then testing gallery access... when TP was uninstalled the gallery returned to normal. I'll post about this on tinyportal.net to see what can be done. Hopefully you and IchBin™ can help to sort it out.
