Simple Poke Mod
« on: March 21, 2014, 10:20:09 am »
I know this is not a bug but was wondering if there is a way around the following problem

I have installed Simple Poke mod. The mod places a menu button on the bar called 'Pokes', if you click this button you go to the pokes page. If someone pokes you the number of pokes is displayed next to the menu.

I have set everything up via Menu Editor and everything works fine except for the number that is supposed to be displayed within the menu button.

Anyway around this?

BTW, Menu Editor Pro is the best investment I have ever made for my forum!

That mod is a bit buggy, because it was done very "quickly" and without a real "interest".
I got similar issues with this mod in a clean install, so is not really a problem with the Menu Editor Pro.

Yeah, I think he understands that it isn't an issue with Menu Editor Pro in itself. I made a system that is kind of easy to hack on new "tallies" to buttons. It's used for SimpleDesk buttons, and the Error Log Counter modification to show those counts on a button. You could hack in another one pretty easily, although there are probably 5 places that would need to be changed.

There's no way to do it through the admin interface, requires changing of both the back-end PHP and the front-end PHP and HTML mix.

Thanks for the compliment by the way, good to hear! :)
