Gallery Name of uploader

On my forum, we frequently upload images and such for our users for various reasons.  The name of the person where it says "by" shows the name of the person who is doing the work.  Is there a way to change that name?

I also have the Download Library.  This does allow us to change the name so proper credit is given.  For example, a few people messed things up when they attempted to upload some files.  One of the admins decided to do it for her.  The admin didn't want her name showing as the "owner" and she was able to edit the name and put the correct name in the "by" field.

We would like to be able to do this with the gallery as well.  Can it be done?

At the moment that feature is only in SMF Gallery Pro.

The only way to do in gallery lite is manually changing it in the database.

Thank you for the speedy response.  I don't think I want to touch the database and the Pro version is, unfortunately, not in my budget.   We can live with it as it is.

Im sorry to respond for that kind of time, however subject is related to my problem!
 I have some knowledge of php and mysql so is there possibility for me to "change" your script for my own use? Or is forbbiden? I wont sell it, its only for my non-commercial guild forum.
