Upgraded forum to SMF2.0 - Problems
« on: November 15, 2014, 05:35:10 am »
I just upgraded our forum to SMF 2.0. I've now started reinstalling your mods but failed on the first one, SMF Gallery.

It installs OK and seems to pick up the previously created galleries although a lot of images are missing.

However, when I click on any image thumbnail to view the image I get the following error message displayed on the Gallery Index and the rest of the page refuses to load.

Quote
Fatal error: Call to undefined function ShowAdLocation() in /data/www/develop/high-teck.com/customers/amoc.org/oldwww/forum/Sources/Load.php(2154) : eval()'d code on line 1768

Is there a procedure for upgrading to SMF 2.0? Have I missed something?

Sigh, I was so hoping you weren't going to say that as I have custom locations in adseller pro and will have to recreate them in the SMF 2.0 templates, which seem quite different in that my custom theme only has index.template.php. I assume SMF 2.0 reads the other templates from core?

SMF 2.0 has the option to install on custom themes.  You do not have to use all the edits just adseller pro wants to be installed so it pickups up the gallery locations.

OK. Thanks for that. However ( and I realise this question should be in ad cseller support) where do I recreate my custom locations for my custom theme?

You would regrab the custom ad locatoin code under ad locations in ad seller pro then re place them in the template files were you want them to appear.
If the file doesn't exist in your custom theme you modify then the default theme's file.

Thanks.

Back on track, lots of pictures are missing and I got this error when I tried to rebuild the search index.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'd have taken home, maybe...? ')' at line 3
File: /data/www/develop/high-teck.com/customers/amoc.org/oldwww/forum/Sources/Gallery2.php
Line: 11626

Not sure if that is related to the missing pictures?

Regarding the images, as I said we started with a vanilla SMF 1.nn to which we pointed at the old database. We then upgraded that to SMF 2.0

When I installed the gallery it picked up all the old settings and galleries. I copied over the gallery images and catimgs files and some of the images appeared but not all. Did I do this wrong?

Just noticed that the links to the "missing" pictures does not have the trailing file identifier after the dot. just gallery/filename. instead of gallery/filename.jpg

Why is this happening?

Added another check for next update for it but not seeing how it can be caused......It doesn't have anything to do with picture display just used to show related pictures.

The only other mods at present are Ad Seller Pro and SMF Classifieds.

The database was copied using SQL export - import via phpmyadmin

Ok that is wrong or it was an invalid picture.... It should have an extension on the end.

Are those new or old pictures?

The actual picture is there with an extension in the gallery folder. They are the older ones that I imported from Aeva Gallery using your importer some time ago.
