Store User - multiple items
« on: January 15, 2015, 06:24:54 am »
Hi Hacks,

I've just looked at allowing the store user feature & it looks like the 3rd party is able to add products in the category set up for this use ok.

My question is: how can a customer purchase multiple items? It appears to only allow one item to be purchased, then directs to paypal to finalise the purchase. It gives a BUY NOW button, not an ADD TO CART button compared to the items I sell.

I'm trialing this as a precursor to setting up a stand alone store URL to allow multiple 3rd party users.
This being the case, I'd also like to have the Download & Subscription Settings removed as it will only complicate things for those users given permission add products.

Thanks,

Sweetwater

At the moment that is the limitation for user items in the store. It requires each item to be bought on it's own instead of using the shopping cart.  This happens because it is not easy to spit up a paypal payment and having it  go to different paypal accounts.

The download and subscription settings might be a possibility to remove but I would have to add a setting for it to disable those for users.

Thank you for your reply Hacks. Understand what you wrote. What about multiple items for the one user? Would be single PayPal that way...

Kind regards,

At the moment that is a single paypal buy button.

Ok, thanks.

Would it be possible to install multiple "stand alone store" packages, and set up each user as an admin for their own installation. Then redirect from a particular category in the base store to their own stand alone store?

Would this require a database for each stand alone store installation?

Kind Regards,
