Install Error

When installing the SMF Gallery package, I am getting this:

1. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php Test successful
2. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/languages/Who.english.php Test successful
3. Execute Modification ./index.php Test successful
4. Execute Modification ./Themes/default/index.template.php Test failed
5. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs.php Test successful
6. Execute Modification ./Sources/ManagePermissions.php Test successful
7. Extract File ./Sources/Gallery.php 
8. Extract File ./Themes/default/Gallery.template.php 
9. Extract Tree ./gallery 
10. Extract File ./Themes/default/languages/Gallery.english.php 
11. Extract File ./Themes/default/languages/Gallery.english-utf8.php 
12. Execute Code galleryinstall.php


I know it will more then likely have to be install manually.

Can someone point me in the direction of Doc. on manual installation?

You probably have a mod that has already altered the code in that file.  I had a similar problem.  I applied the mod any way and just made the edits manually to that one file.  You can run the mod package through the package parser here and it will tell you what edits to make to that file.
