Hi VB

I know there have been requests for this a few years ago and haven't seen anything come from it when I searched, I have also checked the setting too

Is it possible to get notifications of replies to comments when a member replies to a comment that I have made to his posts in the gallery?

I made a comment to another members photo 3 days ago and he replied but I was unaware of the reply as I didn't get a notification.

I have now set up a block on the portal that shows the latest replies but it would be far better to receive a notification if you can do it.

From a user to to another user? Currently comment notifications should be sent to the gallery picture owner.

From the gallery owner to the user. I posted a comment to his posting and he replied to it but I didn't know he had posted a reply to my comment as I didn't get a notification.

I realise that anyone who made a comment to the same post would also get a reply but if it ended up as a conversation then you would be interested in the replies.

Does that make sense VB?

I just want to know one more thing. Are you using the quote feature? Or not.
Since I am not sure if everyone in the thread would want to receive notification or not.

Yes I did use the quote see the attached screenshot. On this occasion there was only two of us in the conversation but who knows how many could potentially want to see a reply?

That is a feature that has been requested on other topics. The SMF forum has the ability to "Show new replies to your posts" or to notify you for new posts on a topic that you "subscribed" but that isn't present on the Gallery, which is a big miss.
