Commenting Out

Hello everyone. I am running an old version of SMF Gallery Pro on my forum. The forum really isn't active anymore and we are in the process of scaling it down to be just an archive of information and only show a core forum page to site guests.

We want to keep the Gallery installed for registered users on the backside so we don't want to remove it completely. But there are elements of the smf gallery on the main page of the forum that are visible to guests and I can't seem to get rid of using Gallery Pro settings.

Mainly I am trying to get rid of the 10 most recent pictures and 10 most recent comments at the bottom of the forum's main page.

Does anyone know how to 'comment out' these parts from the mod's code?

That code would have been added to the boardindex.template.php file.
