Downloads folderm
(1/1)
davejo:
Since installing the mod I set it up for only one folder. Now this folder has reached the gut busting size of 1GB. I have now set it for multiple folders.
We have a cron job that runs a backup for the whole site and it nows seems that the operation, at times, doesn't complete. This then leaves the backup file in the temp backup folder instead of deleting it.
My only thoughts to the reason why the backup doesn't complete is the file size which is getting on for 1.5GB.
What I can do is to omit certain folders in the backup process to reduce the size of the backup.
So my question is:
Is there an easy way to create folder 0 in the Downloads and then transfer the files to it then associate those files with the posts they originated in? By doing this I can exclude folder 0 from the backup process and substantially reduce the size of the backup file.
I do hope you understood that.
SMFHacks:
You can create folder 0 and move files into it manually You would have to adjust the filename in the downloads database table to be 0/filenamehere

Thanks for the reply
