Two questions about Menu Editor Pro
« on: December 18, 2017, 05:29:29 pm »
I have two questions about Menu Editor Pro:

1. If I try it on a test-server, can I still install it on my main site? Or can you only use it on the URL entered when purchasing the license?

2. I tried Menu Editor Lite, and it works like a charm, except for one big problem: I don't get any options to add links when I try to edit the original buttons.

I do have the Internal and External dropdown menu, but when I choose the first option nothing can be defined and when I choose the second option there's no field to enter an external link.

It clearly has to do with my site and/or the theme used, when I tried it on a fresh install of SMF with the standard theme everything worked at it should.

I looked at the code parsed for SMF 2.0.15 and it seems that there is a problem with SimplePortal, is this a known one?

Maybe is it possible to let me know the code that is needed for this particular problem?

Hey there,

Sorry for such a late response.

1. Yes, you are welcome to install it on a test site and your live site.
2. Yeah, Menu Editor Lite has a lot of restrictions to help incentivize you to purchase the full version, which took a few years to get fully developed. The lite version is very lite yet still helpful to some people as is.

The restrictions you mentioned are removed in Menu Editor Pro.
