They are images so it works whether utf8 forum or not. and have the same appearance.

It's a nice addition to any forum, but I'm curious about something. Why not use actual emoji's?

Mainly because They are images so it works whether utf8 forum or not, works across all devices and have the same appearance across all platforms.
