Tips and Tricks to Maximize Ice-Keeping Ability Of Your Best Coolers

For a lot of professional expeditioners and hikers, having the best coolers to bring with them onto the trails is a huge advantage. The ability to have freshly preserved food and drinks while on the move is highly treasured. But you don’t need to be a professional to appreciate the ability to hold ice for several hours at the time of top rated coolers. They are also perfect for parties, tailgates, and family picnics.

But did you know that there are ways to extend the ice-keeping time even further than just a few meagre hours?

In this article, we’ll show you all of the tricks that you can use to keep your best cooler ice cold for far longer than it normally could.

Line Your Cooler With Aluminized Bubble Wrap

Aluminized bubble wrap like Reflectix can add an additional layer of insulation to the walls of your cooler. It is often used inside of homes for insulation, but a lot of people had realized that they could also use this for their cooler. And guess what? It worked!

Lining the inside walls and even the lid of your cooler with the material can substantially improve its ability to hold ice.

Use Frozen Water Balloons

Larger ice blocks take longer to melt in comparison to small cubes. If you don’t have access to large ice blocks, fill water balloons up with water and put them into a freezer overnight. In the morning, you will have a bunch of ice frozen balloons to fill your cooler up with.

Freeze All Of Your Water Bottles

In order to be a proficient user of the ice chest, you must adopt a mindset of making every single inch inside of your cooler counts toward ice-keeping. Water bottles, for example. If you’re having them inside of your cooler, consider putting them first in the freezer to solidify them, first. Once they are inside of the freezer, they can act as an ice block to help with keeping temperature low.

Once you need a cool drink, just take them out and let them thaw in the sun.

Place A Layer Of Foam Over Your Contents

Any type of foam would do. You can buy a cheap foam sheet from the hardware store or even repurpose your old yoga mat by trimming it to fit your cooler. Once you got the sheet ready, lay it on top of all the ice and your contents to get another layer of protection against outside heat and sunlight.

The cooler’s closed lid is one of the parts that heats up the most when you leave your best ice cooler out in direct sunlight. The foam sheet will protect all of your stuff from this heat.

Fill Your Cooler to the Top

The less air there is inside of your cooler, the better the cooler will perform. Air circulation is one of the top reasons for the ice melting. So you will want to reduce this as much as possible.

While you are packing your cooler, make sure that not a single inch of the cooler is unfilled. If that spot isn’t taken up by the contents, fill it with ice. The more the better.

Pre-Cool Your Cooler

Before your trip or the event that you will be bringing your cooler to, make sure that you pre-cool it by at least 24 hours by putting inside sacrificial ice packs. The ice packs will reduce the internal temperature so that when you put ice into your cooler the following morning, the ice won’t have to work as hard keeping cold.

Conclusion

Ending this short guide, we hope that you have found the information to be useful and would help you in making the most out of your Best Coolers For The Money .

I would check your character encoding and make sure it is set to utf8 word uses utf8 characters so that may cause the issue.
