Uploading Photos with Gallery Pro
« on: April 17, 2020, 12:34:10 pm »
I am running Gallery Pro 7.2.4 but as with the standard SMF forum software (2.0.15 for now) users cannot post pictures without first posting to the gallery or MyGallery or including them as an attachment. Does the latest GalleryPro allow pictures to be cut and paste into the post?

You can use the sharing links under each gallery picture if enabled under layout settings to include in the forum posts.

If not we also have an addon mod that does the following
Quote
Post Image Upload - On forum message

This addon adds a link to upload a picture directly from the creating of a post on SMF. The file can be uploaded to either a category or user gallery.
Then returns back a bbc code link back along with the image for the post.

Users don't want to upload pictures into their gallery and then create a post except in larger posts that require multiple photos. It's slow and cumbersome.

I want to check out the Post Image Upload but I couldn't find it with the search feature. Please point me to it.

A new feature in the future could be be an option to upload the picture to their gallery while they post it in the forum.

Thanks!

That is what the post image upload addon does. Currently in the members forum.
I tend to build things that touch SMF areas as optional addons so people can choose what to enable or not.
