Quality of thumbnails images

Hello.

I see that thumbnail images that the Gallery creates when uploading a new picture are really light and bad defined, "pixelised". I know in options i can set no compression on images but is there a way to set the same no (or low) compression even to the thumbnails? Where in the code this value is indicated?

It should only affect jpeg images. It should apply to both that setting.

No, it won't change the filetype.
